Epe Residents Storm Lawmaker, Tobun, Home For His Birthday, Ramadan Iftar

• A birthday is a celebration everyone looks up to – Adenike Tobun

Constituents of the Lawmaker representing Epe Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Mustain Tobun, bieseged the residence of the lawmaker to felicitate with him on occasion of his birthday.

The Lawmaker’s birthday, popularly called ” The Messiah”, coincided with the Ramadan fasting.

The modest gathering which consists of a few friends, families, political associates and youth during the prayer sessions.

However, hundreds of constituents around the Lawmaker’s neighbourhood, after the prayer session, trooped to his country home to join in the celebration and breaking the Ramadan fast.

Speaking at occasion, Tobun reiterated the importance of looking up to God for fulfillment and succour, adding that he was grateful for the gift of life.

He lauded his wife, children and associates for putting up the prayer sessions with iftar on his behalf. He also prayed for the prosperity of his lovers, party leaders, Epe community and Lagos at large.

In a short address, Mr Oluade Olusegun, Managing Director of Segson Group, while thanking the gathering for the show of love implored those aspiring to lead in any capacity to do so with the genuine love of the masses at heart to be victorious.

Speaking with Ekohotblog, the wife of the Lawmaker, Alhaja Adenike Tobun expressed delight at the atmosphere of the occasion, stating that a birthday is a celebration everyone looks up to.

“We can see that he’s very happy seeing himself loved by his people. One would have thought the Ramadan period would restrain people but we’re surprised to see the crowd and that shows how loved he is in his community which I’m happy about “, she stated.

 

Adenike was thankful for God’s benevolence towards humanity after the turbulent year 2020 which was marred by the COVID pandemic and its aftermath effects. This she said is a lesson to all and testimonial to the supremacy of Almighty Allah.

” To the glory of God, I never knew I’d be able to cope with the tasks because I’m an introvert. If you marry a politician, you have to belong because if you’re passive, people will misunderstand
you.

” I’m grateful to God that I’ve adjusted to the life and culture of politicians. Over time, I’ve had no cause to regret despite the odds. I’ve been able to understand human behavioural patterns due to my exposure and engagement with diverse political followers”.

Earlier, Hon Sylvester Oluwaseun Dahunsi ( SKETEL ), Lawmaker representing Epe Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly in an interview with Ekohotblog stated that he was in town in honour of his brother and high ranking member in the house, Hon Abiodun Tobun. He, therefore, prayed to God to grant his heart desires while also stating his outstanding leadership acumen.

” I pray God almighty give him the strength to achieve his heart desires because, by this time next year, we’ll be having our primary, so, I pray he clinch the party ticket “, he said.

The Chairman, House Committee on Investment and Sustainable Development Goals and Overseas Investment, therefore, described Tobun as one with outstanding attributes in terms of empowerment, charity, benevolence, youth friendliness amongst others. He wished him political promotion and victory in the coming election.

It is our wish and prayers at Ekohotblog that Almighty Allah preserves ” The Messiah” to break more grounds of progress and develop for the benefit of the good people of Epe.

Political leaders, families and associates present at the gathering include Mr Adeniyi Kehinde, Epe APC LGA Chairman, Dr Abdulhakeem Adetugbobo, Asiwaju Grassroots Talk (AGT), Hon Bola Gbabijo, former House of Representative Member Epe Federal Constituency, Alhaji Allison, APC Leader, Alhaji Sikiru Owolomoshe, Epe APC Secretary, Alhaja Ejide Akobada, Alhaja Akingbade and Hon Bola Ajisefinni. Others are Mrs Kenny Edu, Hon Shamusi Adio Hon Segun Olukoya, Hon Tope Warith Odeyemi, Hon Giwa Aloma and several other notable Youths.
