Ekohotblog reports that after months of darkness, relief has finally come to residents of Epe as efforts to resolve the prolonged electricity outage have yielded results.

This major breakthrough was achieved through the collective efforts of Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government; Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly; Hon. Wale Raji, Member, Federal House of Representatives; Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashun, Arolugbade Elepe of Epe Land; the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Epe Chapter); and Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki-Bamu.

The restoration of power marks a significant milestone for the community, as it is expected to revive businesses, enhance education, and support healthcare delivery.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the resolution.

“This victory belongs to the people of Epe. It is the result of persistence, teamwork, and the commitment of all leaders and community stakeholders.

We will continue to prioritize projects that uplift the lives of our people.”

Similarly, Hon. Abiodun Tobun commended the unity displayed during the intervention.

“The resolution of this outage proves that when leaders and the community work together, challenges become surmountable.

I am proud to have played a role in restoring power to Epe,” he said.

The Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, who was actively involved in on-site supervision during the repair process, also emphasized the need for vigilance to prevent future occurrences of vandalism.

“We have put measures in place to secure our electricity infrastructure. I appeal to residents to report any suspicious activity promptly,” he stated.

Residents are eagerly anticipating the return of electricity, which is expected to bring much-needed relief.

Community leader Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki-Bamu hailed the restoration efforts as transformative.

“This is not just about power; it is about the growth and progress of Epe.

Businesses will flourish again, and lives will improve significantly,” he remarked.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (Epe Chapter) also played a pivotal role in advocacy and support for this initiative.

Its representative, Adeola Ogunlana, commented on the outcome:

“As youths, we are committed to be part of solutions in our community.

This is just one of many ways we aim to contribute to Epe’s development.”
