One of the most important annual festivals in the region is the Eebi Festival, a sacred event filled with spiritual rites, ancestral reverence, and community bonding.

Among the many royal fathers in the area, five traditional rulers stand out for their dedication to the Eebi Festival.

These kings are not just custodians of culture by title they are active participants in the age-long traditions.

Every year, they personally perform sacred rites such as Jigbo, Igodo, Kilajolu, Oro, Okoro, Agemo, Aje, Ifa, Ogun, Obaoluaiye, Okoshi and lots more. These rites are spiritual pillars that connect their people to their roots.

What makes their roles even more inspiring is how they balance tradition with modernization.

While many fear that civilization may erode cultural values, these monarchs prove the opposite.

They promote tradition through modern tools, especially social media, where they showcase the beauty of Yoruba customs to a wider audience young and old, local and international.
