EPL: Crystal Palace Deny Man City Comeback Victory In Tense Clash
Manchester City twice battled back to secure a draw against Crystal Palace, as the reigning champions’ struggles to regain top form persisted.
Despite a midweek victory over Nottingham Forest, City failed to build momentum, and Palace might feel unfortunate not to have taken all three points at Selhurst Park.

The hosts struck early, with Will Hughes finding wing-back Daniel Munoz in acres of space to drive home the opener just four minutes in.
Palace had further opportunities to extend their lead, but Erling Haaland brought City level with a powerful header from Matheus Nunes’ cross.
Palace regained the lead when Maxence Lacroix rose to meet Hughes’ corner, nodding in to restore their advantage.
City, however, salvaged a point late on when Bernardo Silva set up Rico Lewis, who unleashed a stunning strike into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Lewis’ heroics were short-lived as he was sent off late in the match for two yellow cards, the second for a foul on Trevoh Chalobah.
The result leaves City eight points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, having played one game more, while Palace sit four points clear of the relegation zone.
