Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has appointed Moises Caicedo as the team’s new captain.
In a statement shared on Fabrizio Romano’s X account on Sunday, the midfielder expressed his gratitude to Maresca for the honour.

“I want to become a legend here, and that’s what I’m working hard to achieve every day.
“It means a lot to captain Chelsea. It’s a dream come true
because I grew up supporting Chelsea,” he said.
Chelsea are gearing up to face Nottingham Forest this Sunday in the 2024/2025 season.
Moisés Caicedo signed an eight-year contract with Chelsea following a £100 million transfer from Brighton, with an additional £15 million in performance-related bonuses, after rejecting a £111 million offer from Liverpool.
