Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has posited that Chelsea drew Crystal Palace on Saturday evening at Selhurst Park due to many missed chances.
According to him, if those chances were converted the Blues would have earned all three points.
Maresca added that his side had the chance to finish off Crystal Palace but for Nicolas Jackson’s missed chances.
Maresca felt the striker was unlucky not to score despite having multiple chances with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
EkoHotBlog reports that Jackson had numerous opportunities to extend the Blues’ lead but could not be clinical in front of goal.
Speaking at the post match conference, Maresca stated, via Football London, “For a striker, sometimes they score all their chances, sometimes they don’t score.
“He had two or three clear chances today so that means he is there and ready. Hopefully next time he can be more lucky.”
EkoHotBlog recalls that Jackson has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 20 appearances across competitions this season.
