EPL: Mourinho, Solskjaer Trade Words After Man United Defeated Tottenham
- It was a spirited performance from Man United players who came from a goal down to win the game.
- Controversies in the game also saw the manager of both teams trade words at the end of the match.
Manchester United defeated Tottenham 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to extend their advantage over Leicester City who lost to West Ham United just before their own kick off.
The most controversial moment of the game came at the 33 minutes when VAR made an utterly bizarre decision.
United had the ball in the net after a neat football from Scott Mctominey, Fred and Pogba which was buried by Cavani.
Spurs players quickly surrounded the referee because Mctominey had pushed Son to escape his attentions. The goal was subsequently disallowed after the referee visited the VAR pitch side monitor.
Solskjaer while addressing the press in his post match reaction said if his son stays down on the pitch like the way Son did, he won’t get any food.
Tottenham manager, Mourinho was not happy with Solskjaer and voiced out during his post match reaction.
While defending his forward, Mourinho replied that Son is lucky that his father is a better person than Ole Solskjaer. He countered Solskjaer that no matter a child does, the father has to feed him.
The last defeat shattered the hopes of Tottenham in the top four with just seven Premier League games remaining, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
The win put United in a comfortable second place with a game in hand. On the record book, the Red Devils has the most premier league away points coming from a losing position.
