EPL: Van Nistelrooy Departs Manchester United Coaching Staff
Ruud van Nistelrooy has departed Manchester United after not being offered a position in new manager Ruben Amorim’s coaching team.
The 48-year-old Dutchman stepped in as interim manager at Old Trafford following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal. Van Nistelrooy, who joined United as an assistant coach in July on a two-year contract, led the team to three wins and one draw in his four matches in charge.

Despite his successful stint, Amorim has opted not to keep former Netherlands striker Van Nistelrooy, who spent five seasons as a United player, on his staff.
“Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend,” the club said in a statement which confirmed Van Nistelrooy’s exit.
“We are grateful for his contribution and the way in which he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford.”
Manchester United confirmed that coaches Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar, and Pieter Morel have also departed the club.

However, former United midfielder Darren Fletcher will retain his coaching role, continuing to serve as the link between the first team and the academy.
