EPWA Commiserates With Families of Epe Accident Victims

Ekohotblog reports that the Epe Division Professional Women Association (EPWA) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident that occurred on the morning of Monday, November 11, 2024, at Aiyetoro Market, Epe, which claimed several lives and left others injured.

 

In a statement jointly signed by EPWA President Folake Oluyemi and Secretary Kunle-Lawal Oluwatoyin, the association conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the Governor of Lagos State, and the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun.

 

Speaking on behalf of the association, Mrs. Oluyemi described the incident as a “devastating loss” for the Epe community.

 

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected and the injured.

 

We hope for quick recovery and healing for all those impacted,” she said.

 

Kunle-Lawal Oluwatoyin, the Secretary of EPWA, added, “This is a painful moment for the community.

 

As an association, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and the government.

 

We also urge the authorities to implement measures that will prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future.”

 

 

Princess Surah Animashaun, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, also expressed her grief over the incident.

 

“This is a heartbreaking incident that has shaken our community.

 

I extend my deepest sympathies to the affected families and assure them of the local government’s support in these trying times,” she stated.
