Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, the Chairman of Eredo LCDA, wasted no time in responding to the crisis, pledging immediate relief to the affected residents.
Expressing heartfelt empathy for those impacted, Hon. Akinloye embarked on a visit to the storm-stricken areas, witnessing firsthand the extensive damage inflicted upon homes and livelihoods.
“I am deeply moved by the devastation I have seen today,” he remarked, extending solidarity to the affected families and individuals grappling with the aftermath.
Assuring swift action, Hon. Akinloye affirmed the commitment of the local government to facilitate the recovery and rebuilding process.
“We are committed to ensuring that you receive the support you need to recover and rebuild,” he declared, signaling his intent to liaise with state authorities to expedite necessary assistance.
Jubril Idris, Chief Press Secretary, echoed the Chairman’s sentiments, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between the local government and state authorities in providing relief to the distressed communities.
