In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, at the Eredo local council, Hon Ismail disclosed that his administration had made history beyond all odds and that he will continue to give ears and pay attention to every issue in the community for a better and greater Eredo.
Reeling out his achievements, Akinloye noted that the LCDA has embarked on series of projects to enhance the community growth.
He said, “We have been able to build a Modern legislative storey building within the council, although the construction is still ongoing, and I can say for sure that it’s first of its kind in the history of Eredo.
“We have 18 primary schools within the community and we’ve gone all around and distributed over 60 thousand exercise books to the pupils. During our tours to these schools, we noticed a shortage of staff in those schools, so we decide to employ 50 NCE/BED holders to fill in those spaces in the primary schools so as to compliment the government’s efforts”.
To ensure that the Eredo residents have access to a stable and constant power supply, the chairman commissioned a new 500KVA transformer in the Eredo premises.
“When we came on board, the people requested for a new transformer, the old 200KVA is outdated and unable to power the community effectively, due to the development and expansion the community is recently undergoing, so we decide to get a new and bigger one which is the 500KVA that was commissioned and is in use today. As we all know that getting a transformer can be easy, but getting it installed and maintained is the big deal, but God has really helped us achieve this, as far as I’m concerned, this is a great achievement,” he recounted.

In the areas of employment, the council boss disclosed that 101 non-pensionable staff were recruited to the council.
“We’ve been able to employ 101 non-pensionable staff, and this was done to create employment opportunities for our youths to take them off the street. Our governor had earlier advised us to engage and take good care of our youths which were earnestly working on.
“To further address the security issues in the community, we were able to fix the local security officers (Muwon Vigilante Group) patrol van and we bought them two new motorcycles.
“We also bought a new patrol van and delivered it to the Nigerian Police force Eredo Headquarter.
“At the same time, we’ve been able to fix the damaged generator in the council, and by God’s grace, we’re hoping to get a new one by next year,” he recounted.
To further promote the religious activities in the community, the council boss bought and delivered brand new Siena busses to the religious associations in the community.
Akinloye said, “When we came on board, the religion association requested that we get them a bus which we did, we gave a Siena bus to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and another one to the league of Imams and Alfas Eredo chapter, and they were very happy.

“Today also, we empowered 50 Aged, 50 Poor of the Poorest, 50 widows and also 50 market men and women, with the sum of N10,000 each, within 100 days, and more are still coming. We also refurbished the council bus, and some other activities put in place for a better and greater Eredo”.
On the present administration’s future plans for the Eredo residents, Akinloye assured that he will leave no stone unturned in making sure that the community gets all the basic things needed as far as it’s within his reach.
According to him, “Human wants are numerous, but by God’s Grace, we’ll look into all issues one after the other as it’s within our reach. We cannot attend to the entire request at once as we all know that government is a continuous thing. This is just a drop of our ocean, we’ll ensure that we leave no stone unturned and they will never regret voting us into office.”
