Ekohotblog reports that Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has introduced a scholarship program aimed at helping students further their education.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with Lagos State Cooperative College, offers financial support for various academic and vocational courses.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, the initiative is part of his commitment on educational advancement.
“This initiative reflects our dedication to empowering the youth of Eredo with the tools they need to succeed academically and professionally,” he said.
The program provides sponsorship for courses including Professional Diploma in Cooperative Studies (part-time), National Diploma in Cooperative Economics and Management (full-time), National Diploma in Microfinance and Enterprise Development (full-time), National Diploma in Computer Science (full-time), and Vocational Skills and Technical Training with City & Guilds certification.
Application forms are available at the Department of Education and Library Studies, Eredo LCDA Secretariat.
Interested candidates are required to complete and submit their forms alongside necessary documents before Friday, November 29, 2024.
To be qualified, applicants must have participated in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB), irrespective of whether Lagos State Cooperative College was selected as their institution of choice.
The Head of Education and Library Studies at Eredo LCDA, encouraged eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity.
