Eredo LCDA Flags Off Weed Clearing Exercise Along Igbonla Road

In a bid to enhance environmental sanitation and ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has officially flagged off the clearing of overgrown weeds along Igbonla Road and the adjoining bridge.
Ekohotblog reports that this critical environmental exercise, which aims to improve visibility and road safety, was overseen by the Supervisor for Environment, Mr. Johnson Ahmed. Mr. Ahmed, who led a dedicated team of workers, expressed his commitment to completing the task efficiently.

“We are ensuring that the road is not only safe for vehicles but also clean and accessible to everyone,” said Mr. Ahmed. “This is part of our ongoing effort to create a healthier and safer environment for our community.”
Hon. Akinloye, in his remarks during the flag-off ceremony, emphasized the importance of the exercise in reducing accidents and improving the aesthetics of the community.
“The clearing of these weeds is not just about appearance. It also reduces the risk of accidents, eliminates potential hiding spots for dangerous animals, and ultimately helps maintain a hygienic environment,” he stated.
“These efforts are a direct reflection of our dedication to building a cleaner, safer, and more livable Eredo for all residents.”
