By Babawale Solomon

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, represented by Vice Chairman, Hon. Adesanya Lateef, on Thursday, presented vehicles to three supervisors and a patrol vehicle to the Eredo Security Forum (ESF).

The presentation ceremony held at the Eredo LCDA secretariat in Eredo, Epe Division, Lagos State.

The ceremony witnessed the LCDA’s vice chairman handing over the vehicle keys to the recipients.

Princess Felicia Ogunsanwo, the Supervisor for Health, Mr. Adelaja Adekunle, the Supervisor for Agriculture, Youth, and Sport, and Mrs. Jaguna Balikis, the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), were the recipients of official vehicles.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that these vehicles are intended to aid them in the efficient discharge of their respective duties.

Additionally, the Eredo Security Forum, an amalgamation of different security outfits including Oduduwa People Congress (OPC), Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Local Hunters, and the Agbekoya Security Outfit, received the key to a patrol vehicle. This gesture aims to enhance their ability to swiftly respond to distress calls, curbing criminal activities like kidnappings, theft, and conflicts within the community.

Expressing his thoughts, the council vice chairman highlighted the purpose of these vehicle allocations.

Lateef emphasised that the official vehicles were provided to supervisors to facilitate their mobility and improve their service delivery, all funded from the LCDA’s resources.

Similarly, the patrol vehicle handed to the Eredo Security Forum is intended to bolster community safety efforts, collaborating closely with the Nigeria Police Force to protect lives and properties in the Eredo community.

The Eredo LCDA vice chairman said the move underscored the prudent use of available resources by the council.

He emphasised that this careful allocation of resources has enabled the consistent inauguration of various projects and the implementation of beneficial initiatives for the Eredo community. He assured the Eredo community to expect more projects and programmes in the foreseeable future.
