Ekohotblog reports that Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has given an update on the ongoing road construction on Lawal Street in Odomola.
This project is part of the council’s ongoing infrastructure to improve roads and make travel easier for people in the community.
The council has reported that both sides of the drainage system along Lawal Street have been completed.
Stating that the drainage will help prevent flooding and make the road last longer.
The road has also been leveled, providing a strong base for the next step also laying down a layer of crushed stone. This stone layer will create a solid foundation for the road’s final surface.
Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, expressed his satisfaction with the current progress.
“Completing the drainage system is a big achievement toward building a strong, long-lasting road,” he said.
“It’s our commitment to provide quality infrastructure that will benefit not just today’s residents but also future generations.”
He also appreciated the people of Odomola for their patience and support.
“We are grateful to the community for their cooperation and we are excited to see the road project come closer to completion.
It will greatly improve accessibility and connectivity here,” he added.
