Eredo LCDA Traditional Rulers Visit New Alara Of Ilara, Oba Ogunsanwo

Representatives of Eredo Local council development area (LCDA) traditional rulers on Thursday paid courtesy visit to the new Alara of Ilara, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo at odo/Ipebi.

The representative were led by his Royal Majesty ALAIYELUWA Oba Dr. Babatunde Ogunlaja jp.fmbe.hons, the Aladeshonyin and paramount ruler of Odo NOFORIJA KINGDOM Lagos state and his royal Majesty ALAIYELUWA Oba Ayodele Aliru oba of Poka. Oba mufutau ogunukan Adegbajo of Odo gbawojo among other high Chiefs.

The monarchs, beaming with a great deal of poise and elation for the new king, said their visit is to felicitate with and show their unflinching solidarity and support for the monarch.

One of the monarchs, Oba Dr. Babatunde Ogunlaja, noted that Oba Ogunsanwo is not only bringing his charismatic and cerebral disposition to the throne, but, also accompanying his enthronement, are his wealth of knowledge and sterling reputation from the public and private sector, which would be vital in heralding a fresh wave of development for the Ilara enclave and plethora of prospects for its people, especially the youths.

You recall that EkoHotBlog had reported how the newly installed king observed the 3-day ceremonial, cultural and traditional rites that precede the enthronement of a new king.

Activities marking the newly installed 55th Alara of Ilara, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, commenced weekend (Sunday, 2nd, August, 2020) with his triumphant entry into the town, amidst praises and encomium.

The Oba to be installed observed every rites with a twin note of timely perfection and culturally d precision as he trekked down with an unflinching support and cooperation from the Oba Alara-in-Council; highly progressive indigenes; residents and a host of well wishers.

Following the completion of the traditional rites period at IPEBI (seclusion) which prepares an Oba, for his responsibilities which he embarked upon on Sunday, the Lagos state government on Thursday, 6th August, 2020 installed the monarch and presented him staff of office.

The ascension of oba Ogunsanwo to the throne is expected to herald a new season of economic prosperity and social re-engineering Ilara town.

Oba Ogunsanwo, who’s known to be a compassionate and selfless leader is expected to use his wealth of knowledge and experience to hasten development in the town.

The newly installed oba has, on many occasions, exhibited his altruistic disposition and passion for the advancement of humanity cause, which were exemplified in the height of the novel coronavirus that saw the government locked down the state.

Oba Ogunsanwo rose to the occasion in the bleakest of times by ameliorating the suffering of the people by providing them with succour and respite through relief items.

According to Epe News, the new monarch will be installed and presented with staff of office by the Lagos State Government on Thursday, 6th August, 2020 after the traditional rites period at IPEBI (seclusion) which prepares an Oba, for his responsibilities which he embarked upon on Sunday.

While reacting to the emergence of the new king, a member of the Oba Alara-in-Council, High Chief Adebola Owolabi Talabi, who is also the Olisa of Ilara, described Oba Ogunsanwo’s outstanding qualities and personal characters as worthy of emulation.
