The Ajax boss is reportedly very close to becoming Manchester United’s next permanent manager.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Erik ten Hag is reportedly close to being announced as Manchester United’s permanent manager.

Ten Hag has emerged as a leading candidate for the role of Man United boss alongside Mauricio Pochettino shortly after Ralf Rangnick was handed the reins at Old Trafford.

This is coming after Manchester United held formal talks with the Ajax boss in a bid to establish Ten Hag’s release clause. The coach is out of contract at the end of the season and is believed to be very keen to join the Red Devils and test himself in the Premier League.

However, Man United fans have been in full expectation as per when they can expect an official Erik ten Hag announcement.

No doubt, Ralf Rangnick has sunk the ship, following a 1-0 defeat to Everton. The German has refused to strip Harry Maguire of the captaincy ban despite fans’ outcry.

The former RB Leipzig man has no doubt had his say on who should be the next manager, with Erik ten Hag now looking extremely likely to be appointed the Red Devils’ new permanent boss.

Journalist Jason Burt, while writing for The Telegraph, has explained when Erik ten Hag to Man United announcement could be expected.
