EKO HOT BLOG reports that Sayreville, NJ councilwoman, Eunice Dwumfour, was shot and killed outside her home in the U. S on Wednesday night, February 1, 2023. Prior to being killed, Dwumfour was the wife of a Nigerian-based pastor, and was 30-years-old at the time of demise.
According to eyewitness accounts, Dwumfour was driving her white Nissan SUV when an unknown assailant fired at her vehicle.
The vehicle crashed into two parked cars and Dwumfour was found dead behind the wheel, shot approximately 12 times. Some neighbors reported seeing someone running away from the scene with a mask on.

“It took a second before I realised there was a dead body behind the wheel,” the eyewitness account stated.
“She was slumped over the wheel with a black hoodie with brown fur covering her head, her hands were down by her side. There was one bullet hole in the passenger door and a bunch of bullet holes in the driver door. Some other neighbors said they saw someone running away with a mask on.”
Authorities have confirmed that Dwumfour was the intended target of the attack, although the motive is yet to be established despite hints pointing at it being a political assassination .
Dwumfour was a Republican councilwoman and preached for a Nigerian-based church group.
Video footage from the crime scene showed Dwumfour conversing with the shooter moments before her death.
Sayreville police officers were seen combing the sides of a Garden State Parkway exit ramp in search of the gunman, who was spotted racing away from the complex by locals.
The news of Dwumfour’s death has shocked and saddened the community, with reactions pouring in from prominent members and the Governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy.
In a statement, Murphy expressed his condolences and called Dwumfour’s death “horrifying”.
