Europa League: Osimhen Scores Twice As Galatasaray Beat Tottenham 3-2
Victor Osimhen netted a brace as Galatasaray handed Tottenham their first Europa League defeat of the season, securing a 3-2 win in Istanbul on Thursday to move to the top of the group.
The Turkish champions now sit on 10 points from four matches, all but guaranteeing their place in the knockout play-off round, while Spurs drop to fifth after losing their perfect record.

Galatasaray struck early when Yunus Akgun unleashed a stunning long-range volley into the top corner in the sixth minute.
Tottenham quickly responded in the 18th minute, with teenage striker Will Lankshear marking his second first-team appearance with a tap-in from Brennan Johnson’s cross.
However, Galatasaray regained control before the break, with Osimhen scoring twice in quick succession. The Nigerian striker put them back in front just after the half-hour mark, before volleying Dries Mertens’ cross past Tottenham’s goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
Osimhen, now with six goals in eight appearances since his loan move from Napoli, was crucial in Galatasaray’s lead. Despite several missed chances to extend their advantage, Spurs’ comeback hopes were dashed when Lankshear received a red card for two quick yellow cards in the second half.
Dominic Solanke pulled one back in the 69th minute, shortly after coming on for Ange Postecoglou’s side, but Galatasaray held firm to secure the win.
