Reports differ on the cause of his death. Some suggest that Oseke collapsed during his regular exercise routine at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka on Monday, while others indicate that he had been ill and hospitalized until news of his death surfaced on Monday.
Oseke, a law graduate, had recently completed his Ph.D. in Public Administration at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. His political journey began with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and during Peter Obi’s administration, he won a seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly, where he served as the Majority Leader before being elected Deputy Speaker.
No official statements have been released by the family or the state government. However, a close relative, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed grief over the loss, noting that Anambra has recently lost several prominent politicians in quick succession.
