Tottenham Hotspurs are believed to be on the lookout for a new first team manager, after letting go of Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho on the 19th of April 2021.
Mourinho faced his third sack in the space of 5 years, after previously been sent packing by former EPL clubs Manchester United and Chelsea.
The possible reason for his sack could be attributed to the poor run of results in recent months, as champions league qualification for next season looks more like a mission impossible.
It has also been rumoured that the ‘Special One’ was sacked because of a possible feud with the club’s hierarchy over its decision to join the recently announced European Super League.
29 year old Ryan Mason has been appointed as the interim manager of Spurs until the end of the season, as he becomes the youngest manager ever to take charge of an EPL side in history of the league.
Spurs are believed to be keen on landing a top manager on a permanent basis ahead of next season, and one name that has been linked with the North London club is former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian manager was in charge of the 2018/2019 Epl season with Chelsea, where he ended up winning the Europa League title for the blues.
Sarri left for Seria A giants Juventus the following season, but was sacked by the club, after failing to meet up with the club’s target for the footballing campaign.
The ex-Chelsea manager has been tipped as one of the top candidates to replace the sacked Jose Mourinho at Spurs, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
