Eko Hot Blog reports that the former Edo deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, justified retaining campaign vehicles. He revealed the cars were refurbished, not new acquisitions.
“The vehicles were used by previous deputies,” Shaibu explained. “I refurbished their engines, so they’re not new vehicles.”

Moreover, he received just one new car during his eight-year tenure. “I got only one new vehicle in almost eight years,” he stated.
