President Bola Tinubu has appointed former INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, as co-chairman of the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the committee was inaugurated at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the President, the committee aims is to provide lasting solutions to the frequent clashes between farmers and herders in different parts of Nigeria.

This committee follows a report from the National Conference on Livestock Reforms and Mitigation of Associated Conflicts in Nigeria, which Ganduje headed.
Tinubu urged committee members to focus on their mandate and improve the lives of Nigerians.
He emphasized the committee’s role in transforming the livestock sector and boosting agricultural productivity, export opportunities, and economic growth.
“This sector will boost agricultural productivity, enhance export opportunities, and stimulate economic growth.
“We have seen solutions and opportunities within this adversity that has plagued us over the years, and I believe prosperity is now in your hands,” he said.
