The Lagos chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been thrown into mourning following the death of the former governorship aspirant of the party, Kitoye Rhodes Branca.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that Mr Branca, who was pronounced dead on Friday, died of complications from COVID-19.
This comes a few days after his sister was said to have died of the same virus.
His death has not sunk in for many of his friends and family members as they converge at his house for a condolence visit.

Mr Branco-Rhodes contested the 2003 Lagos governorship election on the platform of the Nigerian Advance Party (NAP) led by his father-in-law Tunji Braithwaite but lost to Bola Tinubu of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
He later joined the PDP and contested in the party’s primary election for the 2015 Lagos governorship ticket, losing out to Jimi Agbaje.
Mr Agbaje eventually lost the governorship election to Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Branca Rhodes, who was the son of the late Olayinka Rhodes and Abimbola Rhodes, was survived with a wife and six children.
The late politician died at the age of 57 years.
