Late chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos state, Lanre Razak has been buried.
The Balogun of Epe land former commissioner for transportation in Lagos Epe, was buried in his hometown.
There was a prayer at the Epe Central Mosque, Ita opo. The body was taken around the town before burial
EkoHotBlog had reported earlier about the death of chief Lanre Rasak. He died on at Reddington Hospital, Lagos after a brief illness. He was aged 74.
He was buried in style as hundreds of mourners thronged his home to pay last their last respect to an illustrious and Inimitable son of Epe.
His body was also moved round the town in a procession that that saw multitude trooped to the street
Reacting to chief Lanre Razak’s death, former speaker of Lagos Assembly, Jokotola Pelumi, described his demise as a heavy blow.
He said he had prayed fervently for his recovery after he took heal and looked forward to meeting him again.
“The sad news of his passage unto the world beyond has left me to wonder about so many things. Chief Lanre Razak was someone I had a great deal of respect for , he was my mentor and I’m yet to come to terms with the news of his demise” Jokotola said in a statement.
He added that the Balogun of Epe was an integral part of his family, noting he was always there for people during their turbulent times and provided shoulder for people to lean on.
“Until his death he remained an old friend of the PELUMI FAMILY, VERY CLOSE, an “ABIYAMO PATAKI” who would do anything and everything to ensure that his children and wards are on the right track.
“A COMMITTED FRIEND WHO WILL ALWAYS SHOW UP IN DIFFICULT TIMES, THE FIRST TO SHOW UP AT SUCH TIMES AND OCCUPY THE FRONT ROW SEAT.
” Always the first to show up in times of trouble or tribulations. The demise of this great man is a personal loss to me . The great people of Epe, Lagos east senatorial district , our great party , friends and most especially his family will miss him greatly for his love, wisdom, vast knowledge and magnanimity. At this point , words fail me but I pray that Allah will grant everyone especially his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. I sincerely also pray that Allah will grant his soul Aljanah Fridaus” he said
