Amaju Pinnick expresses confidence in Super Eagles’ 2026 World Cup qualification.
Super Eagles sit 5th in Group C, 4 points behind leaders Rwanda and South Africa.
NFF committed to supporting the team’s efforts to secure qualification.
Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick, remains hopeful that the Super Eagles will secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Currently in 5th place in Group C with three points from four matches, the Super Eagles are four points behind leaders Rwanda and second-place South Africa.
Speaking on Friday’s Sports Tonight on Channels Television, Pinnick reassured fans that the NFF is doing everything it can to support the team’s qualification efforts for the upcoming World Cup.
“I speak to the president [of the NFF] every other day and I know he is very religious about qualifying Nigeria for the World Cup. It is going to be a tough call.
“I don’t want to raise the hopes of any Nigerian that we would qualify. But we would try our human extreme. When I say human extreme, on a scale of 1-10, we would get to that 10 and see if we can make it happen. We believe it is divine.”
