Ex Senator, APC Chieftain, Adebayo Salami, Dies At 67
Former Senator in Osun State, Adebayo Salami, has passed away.
Ekohotblog reports that Adebayo represented Osun central senatorial district at the Nigerian upper legislative chamber, between 1999 and 2003.
Ekohotblog gathered that the chieftain of Nigeria’s ruling political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), died in the united states on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Before his death, Senator Adebayo Salami represented Osun Central Senatorial District in Nigerian Senate at the inception of the fourth republic in 1999 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) platform.
Salami was born in March 9, 1953.
The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Osogbo Central Branch, described the late Senator as a responsible and devout Muslim during his time.
A statement jointly signed by the Amir, Taofeeq Olayoonu and the Public Relations Officer of MSSN, Saheed Raji, commiserated with the family and friends of Senator Salami.
The Muslim students recalled the efforts and commitment of the late Senator to Islam and prayed to Allah to overlook his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
