Ex-Speaker Ikuforiji, Baameto Of Epe, Pay Tributes As Bayo Kadiri Is Laid To Rest In Epe

A former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Sabit Ikuforiji, as well as Alhaji Saliu-Okulu, retired Comptroller-General of Customs and Baameto of Epe Kingdom, have paid heartfelt tributes to senior Banker and Author, Dr Bayo Kadiri, who passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, Kadiri was buried according to Islamic rites on Friday, August 20, 2021, at his Iraye residence in Epe.
Paying his solicitude to the deceased, Okulu described Kadiri as a precocious intellectual who was light years ahead of his contemporaries. He also described Kadiri as a great teacher from whom he learned “a lot.”
“I learnt a lot from him being a member of two clubs in Epe, his erudition is unparalleled amongst his peers and his quest for the best led him to acquire a University degree several years after secondary education while working as a senior banker with Union Bank.”
The former Comptroller-General of Customs also prayed for the repose of Kadiri’s soul and the fortitude for the bereaved family to bear the irretrievable loss.
“I pray Allah to accept his return, illuminate and widen his grave, and raise him amongst the favored ones on the Day of Recompense. My thoughts and prayers are with his widow (a fellow Egosan), children, Family, and all friends.”
In his condolence message to the family of the deceased, the Aare Musulumi of Epe Division and former Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Retired Honorable Adeyemi Sabit Ikuforiji, described Dr. Kadiri’s departure as a great loss.
“The death of Alhaji (Dr) Bayo Kadri Odedeogboro of Bado isale community is a great loss to our community. We pray Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah fridaoz,” Ikuforiji said in a statement.

He commiserated with the family of the deceased, the Epe Ogunmodede club, Epe Club and the entire Epe community at large.
“I sympathize with the Odedeogboro family, Epe Ogunmodede club, Epe club, and the entire community at large. May Allah accept his return, illuminate his grave and raise monzoor on the day of recompense Amin.”
