A powerful explosion shook Jos on Tuesday morning, rattling surrounding communities and sending residents into a panic. The blast, which occurred around 10:30 a.m. near the crowded Terminus market, left a scene of destruction and chaos in its wake.
Eyewitnesses recounted the terrifying moments following the explosion. “I was nearby when I heard a loud bang,” said Gyang Buba, a clothes vendor. “I saw people running and screaming. It was terrifying.” Initial reports indicate that several people sustained injuries in the blast, with some sources suggesting possible fatalities, though these remain unconfirmed.
Emergency responders, including police, fire services, and ambulance teams, swiftly arrived on the scene to provide assistance and contain the situation. The extent of the damage is not yet clear, but witnesses described widespread destruction near the blast site.
