The Football Association (FA) has launched its own investigation into a video that appears to show Premier League referee David Coote using offensive language to refer to former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The refereeing body, Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), has already suspended Coote pending a full investigation.

The 42-year-old official has also been removed from an international assignment this week.
The FA is particularly interested in the nature of Coote’s alleged remarks, as one comment reportedly references Klopp’s German nationality. Under FA rules, comments involving nationality can constitute an aggravated breach of its regulations.
“We are aware of the matter, and we are investigating it,” said the FA in a statement.
