Fabrizio Romano Reveals Boehly’s Stance On Potter’s Chelsea Future
Fabrizio Romano has revealed Todd Boehly’s stance on Graham Potter’s Chelsea future.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly and the rest of the board are trusting Graham Potter to lead the first team despite the recent poor run of results.
The Blues sit eighth in the Premier League table after three consecutive league defeats and are 16 points behind league leaders Arsenal.

This would have put any Chelsea manager under a lot of pressure during Roman Abramovich’s era, but the new ownership group seem to prioritise long-term plans.
Potter signed a five-year contract with Chelsea just a couple of months ago, and according to Romano, this will not change any time soon.
“Internally at Chelsea, the board and of course Todd Boehly absolutely trusts Graham Potter and his idea and project for the present and the future,” the Italian journalist said on his YouTube channel.
“So, nothing will change.
“Chelsea’s position are very clear: Potter is the manager and will [stay] the manager. He’s considered the right man to bring in his ideas and project in the next years.
“Potter will have discussions with the board on what they can do to improve in 2023, but he’s in full control of the situation.”
It is unrealistic to expect Potter to deliver results after two months, so his position’s being safe is hardly a surprise.
Three defeats in a week are very disappointing, but any team who have lost as many key players as Chelsea have would have had a hard time facing Arsenal, Manchester City, and Newcastle United.

This does not mean Potter’s spot is completely secured for the remainder of his contract, however, Football is fickle and failing to secure a top-four finish and, consequently, its monetary gain could easily lead to the board’s losing their faith in Potter and his ideas.
