Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Professor Basirat Olushola Oladipupo as the Substantive and Pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu.
The appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Gbemavo Kolawole Godonu who had been in acting capacity as Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Administration) since the establishment of the university.

Facts To Know About New LASUSTECH Deputy VC, Basirat Oladipupo
1. Prof. Oladipupo is an indigene of Epe, Lagos State.
2. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Education (BSc. Ed.) from the Lagos State University (LASU) in 1997.
3. The new LASUSTECH DVC obtained her Master of Science in Education (MSc. Ed.) from the University of Lagos, Lagos State in 1999.
4. She went out of Lagos State to obtain her doctorate degree at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, in 2007.
5. She joined the service of Lagos State University (LASU) in 1998 as a Graduate Assistant.
6. She rose through the ranks to become a full professor on October 1, 2017.
7. Prof. Oladipupo is reputed as the first female professor in Epe Division of Lagos.
8. The Epe indigene is a Professor of Health Education.
9. She has published well over 40 articles in reputable academic journals both nationally and internationally.
10. Prof. Oladipupo has authored few books and contributed chapters to books. She has also written and delivered several unpublished articles at various gatherings.
11. She has attended several trainings, seminars, webinars and workshops both locally and internationally.
12. The professor has been the Chairman of the Students Disciplinary Committee at LASU.
13. She has also been the coordinator of the university’s SEED Care Project.
14. On October 8, 2019, she delivered LASU’s 71st Inaugural Lecture titled ‘Goodie Bag of Health Problems: Health Educator, The Town Crier’ at the University Auditorium.
