“Failure Is An Orphan,” Sani Shades Glory Seekers Of Kankara Rescue

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Sen. Shehu Sani has taken a swipe at the glory seekers looking to claim the plaudits in the recent rescue of the abducted schoolboys from Government Science College, Kankara, Katsina State.

Eko Hot Blog had reported that on Friday, December 11th, 2020, armed gunmen had raided the school and kidnapped hundreds of students, plunging the nation into a familiar de javu.

However, after concerted efforts by the Kaduna State government and the Nigerian military, the abducted students were recovered on Thursday, December 17th, 2020, sparking nationwide jubilation.

In the wake of the rescue, different parties have come out to take credit for their role in the rescue of the schoolboys, from the Federal Government, the Katsina state government, the Nigerian military, and even the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association.

Sani, a frontline activist, in a tweet via his verified twitter handle took a swipe at the plaudit seekers on the heels of the successful rescue.

He recalled that when Boko Haram insurgents slaughtered at least 43 farmers in Zabarmari, Borno state, last month, no one took credit for it.

“Failure is an Orphan, Success has many fathers. Everybody wants to claim credit for the KANKARA success. Nobody wants to claim credit for the ZABARMARI failure” Sani wrote on Twitter.
