Eko Hot Blog reports that Sulaimon Olamide, a former aspirant for the Office of the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, caused a stir in Lagos State after he laid down near Ikeja bridge to apologise to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to him, the governor, who once gifted him a car, might have been offended by a manipulated video that featured a photo of him and the governor. He noted that he did not insult the governor.
He also apologised to popular actress, Iyabo Ojo, asking her forgiveness.
Olamide had insulted Ojo for not supporting President-elect Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate in the February 25 presidential poll.
He accused the actress of betraying the Yoruba’s.
On Wednesday, the former APC national youth leader aspirant took to Ikeja bridge to apologise to those he thought he wronged, including members of the Labour Party (LP).
Olamide claimed that he was sick and had been abandoned by APC stalwarts.
“All APC politicians have abandoned me even though they know that I am currently very sick. Mummy Iyabo Ojo I am sorry, and Nigerians please stop insulting me in comment sections the insults are affecting my brain,” he said.
“All the APC politicians I helped no longer pick my phone calls again, please the election has already gone and past all I need from you all right now is prayers and support, I am terribly sick now and I am facing a lot of challenges in life.”
Curiously, there have been speculations on social media that Olamide is an APC thug who unleashed violence on LP members during the elections.
Eko Hot Blog found out that these claims are unfounded and there is no evidence to support them.
Olamide, a member of the APC, is prominent on social media for discussing politics.
He is not known to perpetrate violence on behalf of any politician.
