The social media has been awash with reports that President-elect Tinubu is sick.

Some media reports alleged that he was flown abroad on Tuesday for medical treatment.

However, his spokesman has debunked the reports.
Eko Hot Blog reports that President-elect Bola Tinubu has travelled to Europe to rest and participate in the lesser hajj.
The president-elect’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday.

Rahman’s statement disclaimed fake media reports that Tinubu was flown out of the country for medical treatment.
The former Lagos State governor’s spokesman noted that his trips to Paris, France and London, United Kingdom, are to rest and plan his transition ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
He disclosed Tinubu will also travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday.
“After a very exhaustive campaign and election season, President-elect, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has travelled abroad to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of May 29, 2023 inauguration,” the statement reads.
“The President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night.
“The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday.
“While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme.”
Although Rahman did not specify a date for Tinubu’s return, he said the president-elect is expected back in the country soon.
