EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for the arrest and prosecution of the former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi.
He asked the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to quiz Amadi for using the picture of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, in a wheelchair and claimed he was on his way to see the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, in London for a meeting about the 2023 presidential election.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday, Fani-Kayode said the news analyst should be investigated and charged in court for defamation, criminal falsehood, and incitement.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) also said his pictures should be printed on toilet paper and used to clean dirt.
He wrote: “Creatures like one Sam Amadi who used the CJN’s picture in a wheelchair & claimed he was on his way to see the President-elect in the UK for a meeting about the 2023 presidential election should not only be invited by the DSS & NPF, investigated & charged to court for defamation, criminal falsehood, and incitement but they should also have pictures of their ugly faces printed on toilet paper & used to clean dirty but-holes.”
Reports had it that Ariwoola traveled out to London pretending to be a physically-challenged old man in preparation for a meeting with Tinubu.
The reports claimed that Tinubu called for the meeting to seek the favour of the judiciary as his opponents seek to overturn his victory in the February 25 presidential election.
The reports also said Ariwoola departed Nigeria on March 11 via Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and was pushed in a wheelchair through the terminals to board a British Airways flight.
Upon arrival in London, Ariwoola was said to have been wheeled into a hotel downtown, where he has remained ever since. But immediately after checking into the hotel, Ariwoola was reported to have abandoned his wheelchair and started moving around the facility unaided.
