Family Announces Passing and Burial of Samuel Adebowale
The Adebowale family has announced the passing of their beloved father and brother, Pastor (Mr.) Samuel Adelaja Mayor Olorunibe Adebowale.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Mr. Adebowale, a respected leader and cherished family figure, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on Monday, June 17, 2024.
His death marks the end of a life dedicated to family, faith, and service to his community.
The Adebowale family expressed their deep sorrow and paid tribute to the life and legacy of Mr. Adebowale.
The family has also shared details of the funeral arrangements to honour the quantity surveyor’s memory.
A wake-keeping service will be held on Thursday, August 15, at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Oyo Province 2, Oluwo Nla, 9 Tayo Soyengbe, New Bodija, Ibadan by 4:30pm. This will be followed by a funeral service on Friday, August 16 at 11 am, taking place in the same venue.
Samuel Adelaja Adebowale fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, community, and faith, left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Born on November 18, 1951, and passing away on June 17, 2024,
Adebowale graduated from Ahmadu Bello University with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
Throughout his life, he was known for his generosity, offering academic, financial, and spiritual guidance to many, and helping them find their way in life.
He served as an ordained minister at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Oyo Province 2, New Bodija, Ibadan, where he continued to touch lives with his deep faith and compassion.
At 73, Adebowale passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy was celebrated through the heartfelt stories and memories shared during his service, underscoring a life characterized by kindness and meaningful impact.
His final journey continues on Friday, August 16, when he will be laid to rest.
The Adebowale family has requested that all who wish to attend the services do so with hearts filled with love and respect for a man who lived a life of purpose and integrity.
