Family, Friends, Others Pay Tribute To Elder Isreal Odukomaiya At Final Burial Ceremony In Epe

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe community has joined the family and friends of the late Elder Isreal Odukomaiya to bid farewell to their father, grandfather, and friend at his final burial ceremony.
The ceremony held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the First African Mission Church in Epe, Lagos State.
Pallbearers gracefully danced with the casket, accompanied by the late elder’s children, siblings, and other grieving family members.
The sober church service began with a moving musical tribute, which set the tone for the emotional farewell.
Anthony Sole Odukomaiya delivered a heartfelt obituary remark, capturing the essence of the departed soul.
During the sermon, the presiding cleric urged attendees to embrace each day as if it were their last, emphasizing the transient nature of life.
The congregation reflected on the brevity of humans’ time on earth and the inevitability of the life-giver reclaiming what was given.
The procession then made its way to Elder Odukomaiya’s final resting place, where friends and family gathered to bid a final farewell.
In a touching moment, the deceased was laid to rest, surrounded by love and memories.
Following the burial, a reception event was held at the late elder’s residence, offering solace and support to the grieving community. Guests were treated to a spread of food, drinks, and music provided by the Life Band.
The atmosphere turned celebratory as the deceased’s children took to the dance floor, moving to the melodious tunes in a poignant tribute to their father’s life.
Elder Odukomaiya’s final journey was marked by a mix of solemnity and celebration, leaving a lasting imprint on those who gathered to honor his memory.
