Speaking during the event, the monarch and husband of the celebrant, Oba Mufutau Adewunmi Idogun-Larrys, described his wife as a dependable partner who had stood by him through different phases of life.

Reflecting on their journey together, the royal father said one of the greatest blessings in life was having a supportive partner.
He noted that Olori Mariam had remained a pillar of encouragement during difficult moments and had continued to show commitment to family values over the years.
“There are many memorable moments. She has always been there during challenging times, encouraging and supporting. She has been a wonderful person,” the monarch said.
Congratulating her on attaining the milestone age, the Ologunfayo of Iwerekun Kingdom said reaching such an age was a blessing and prayed for more years in good health and happiness.

Describing the occasion as a moment of reflection and thanksgiving, she said the journey of life had been filled with numerous blessings and accomplishments.
“I thank Almighty Allah for the past 50 years. I have a lot to be grateful for in my life and family. This is only the beginning of greater things,” she said.
She also prayed for long life, expressing optimism of witnessing more milestones in the years ahead.
One of her close friends, Olaniyi Oyenuga, who revealed they had maintained a friendship spanning over two decades, described the celebrant as a selfless and dependable person.
According to him, Olori Mariam had remained a reliable friend who always placed others above herself.

“She is an amazing human being and my go-to person. When you talk about selflessness, that is who she is,” he said.
He prayed for continued joy, peace, good health and divine blessings for the celebrant.
The mother of the celebrant also offered heartfelt prayers for her daughter, asking God to grant her long life, prosperity and the grace to witness more celebrations with her children and family.
In typical Yoruba parental blessings, she prayed that Olori Mariam would reap the fruits of her labour, enjoy good health and live to see future generations celebrate her in greater joy.

The celebration also witnessed the presence of several traditional rulers and royal personalities, including Oba Olusegun Animashaun, the Ojomo of Lakowe, Ibeju-Lekki, alongside members of the royal household such as Olori Afolashade Ogunfayo, Olori Kudirat Oyibeyi, and other dignitaries.
Also in attendance were representatives from traditional institutions across Lagos, further adding royal splendour to the occasion.
The event featured music, cultural entertainment and goodwill messages as guests celebrated the life and legacy of the celebrant at 50.
