Farmland Dispute
Two people were killed in Adamawa State after a land dispute escalated into a fatal shooting by the suspect, Mali Emmanuel.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the two people have been killed in Adamawa State following a dispute over farmland.
The deceased, Emmanuel Hamma Shehu and Almond Hamma Shehu, were allegedly shot by Mali Emmanuel, with whom they had a quarrel over the land.
The Adamawa Police Command, which arrested the suspect, stated that Mali Emmanuel fired a gun at the two victims, resulting in their deaths.
Adamawa police spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, explained that the 31-year-old suspect had a dispute with the victims over a farm located in Bori, Jada LGA, which escalated into a fight.
“During the altercation, Emmanuel used his Dane gun and shot the victims, leading to their unfortunate death,” the police PRO said.

Nguroje added that Mali Emmanuel who is a vigilante operative, was arrested “for firing and killing of the deceased who are residents of Bori village in the Koma District of Jada Local Government Area.
According to the PPRO, further investigations are continuing, after which the suspect will be charged to court.
