Faddelatul Sheikh Muh Thaoban Adam Al-Ilory, founder of Al-Uloom, an Arabic school, has admonished Islamic clerics in Epe to coexistent peacefully and live in harmony.
Thaoban is one of the sons of the late sage, Sheikh Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory (RTA), the founder of renowned Islamic institution, Markaz, Agege.
Ekohotblog reports that he issued the admonition when he spoke at the 8th day fidau prayers in honour of Late Fadeelatul Sheikh Alhaji Abdul-Kabir Ekemode, the Oniwaasi of Epe Kingdom.
The call for unity and love among the Ulamas was necessitated by reports of animosity and frosty relationship among the leadership of the First Epe Central Mosque l, Oke-Balogun.
The leadership of the Epe Central Mosque Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdul-Lateef Oladapo Ayeogbaro, bemoaned the discord and deteriorating relationship among to clerics.
Citing the lack of cooperation during a certain fidau prayer, Imam Lati wondered why cordiality ceased to exist among the Ulamas as it was in the past.
The famous Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Thaoban, therefore opined that Muslim must rejoice and commiserate with one another under joyous and tragic circumstances whenever the need arises.
He thereafter, seized the opportunity to remind both parties of the need to be united, stating that the existence of several central mosques in a given community signals nothing both rapid growth and development. He however said that a given community with just one Central Mosque has a long way to go as the Islamic religion in such a community hasn’t developed.

He further reminded the Islamic leaders of the virtues of patience and positivity rather than hostility and negativity which are capable of causing disharmony whenever issues arise.
“We must be quick to resolve burning issues rather than escalate them. This applies to leaders in our homes and communities, we must resolve to mend fences and unify warring parties due to the blessings, understanding and peace it breeds.
” One must not because of bitterness or revulsion, utter divisive words which are capable of impeding peace and unity in our homes and communities. Leaders must be modest and sensible in deed and speech. This is my message for everyone,” he stated.
Paying homage to the Ulamas who came to honour the deceased, the Mudeer described the late Oniwaasi as a family man who enjoyed a cordial relationship with people around him. He also extolled his proficiency in the understanding use of Arabic. He thereafter admonished the gathering to assist in supporting the family the deceased left behind both morally and financially.
Earlier, students of the late Islamic scholar, led by Barrister AbdulQudus Balogun, solicited the financial support of the gathering towards actualizing the dream of their Ustaz while alive.
