Fani Kayode Blasts NAF, Alleges Tolulope was Murdered
Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, suspects that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) flying Officer, Tolulope Arotile who died on July 14, 2020, was murdered.
The minister made the statement on account of how Tolulope Arotile died, as reported by the NAF.
According to the force’s report, the late Flying Officer, who was Nigeria’s first female combat pilot, was reported to have died from head injuries she’s sustained from an accident in the force base in Kaduna.
The force explained that the flying officer was knocked down by her best friend and former classmate, who was in a reverse mode.

NAF had stated that she was inadvertently hit by a former classmate when the car was in reverse mode on the Air Force base in Kaduna.
The explanation did not sit well for many Nigerians and Organisations, including Gani Adams, Tolulope’s sister, Damilola, and former presidential aide, Fani Kayode.
With eagerness, Fani, in a statement on Saturday, dismissed the explanation.
He said the death of the highly celebrated young officer is sad, but the fact that she was killed by being knocked down on the Air Force Base by her best friend’s car is nonsensical.
He challenged the force’s credibility, tagging Tolulope’s death a murder case and not just a mere accident.
He said, “She was courageous and formidable in battle, doing much harm to Boko Haram. The idea that she was killed by being knocked down on the Air Force Base by her best friend’s car is nonsensical.
“Who is this best friend and what is his/her name? I suspect that Tolu was murdered & the truth is bring covered up. I urge the Chief of Air Staff to investigate this matter thoroughly.”
He commiserated with the family of the deceased.
In a similar development, Gani Adams has reacted to NAF’s explanation surrounding the death of the force’s flying officer.
According to Gani, Tolulope’s death is suspicious and should be grossly investigated.
After a series of slams and calls for justice, the Nigerian Air Force announced that it had opened an investigation on the case.
The force also stated that it had apprehended two connected to the death of the flying officer.
