EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for the arrest of controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, over his recent comments on Christians.
In a released audio, Fani-Kayode criticized Gumi’s statements, pointing out the historical context of violence in Nigeria and emphasizing that many Muslims in both the North and South are not terrorists.

Fani-Kayode challenged Gumi’s assertions, highlighting instances of violence committed by various extremist groups, not limited to any particular religious group. He also mentioned that Sheikh Abubakar Gumi’s father had expressed a preference for a non-Christian leader in the past.
Fani-Kayode called on security agencies to invite Gumi for questioning and potential prosecution for incitement and destabilization attempts. He also urged President Bola Tinubu to ensure that divisive statements are not tolerated during his administration.
