Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, has revealed that four people convinced President Muhammadu Buhari to release Omoyele Sowore and Sambo Dasuki from prison.
Ekohotblog recalls that the Department of State Services (DSS) was ordered to release Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, and Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), former national security adviser (NSA).
The directive was given by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in a statement issued on Tuesday. December 24.
Ekohotblog reports that both Dasuki and Sowore have now been released from custody and united with their families after several weeks in detention for different alleged crimes.
Reacting to their release in a tweet on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode said the four people that aided their release, represent the liberal and cerebal wing of the Buhari Government.
Fani-Kayode listed their names as Abba Kyari, Abubakar Malami, Hadi Sirika and Kayode Fayemi.
“I can tell you authoritatively that 4 people fought from within to get Dasuki & Sowore released & eventually managed to convince Buhari. They are Abba Kyari, Malami, Hadi Sirika, and Kayode Fayemi. They represent the liberal and cerebal wing of the Buhari Govt. & I commend them,” Fani-Kayode wrote on Tuesday.
