Fans have continued to react after singer, Simi, said her children will not have access to phones until they are 24 years old.

The “Joromi” who said the move is to keep them away from the internet, which she considers a scary place, said she believes it a really necessary move.

“My kids will be getting their first phones at 24. The internet is such a scary place,” she wrote in her first tweet on the matter.

And not stopping, especially as a way to counter people’s reactions to her opinion, she wrote further: “Gonna homeschool them so your kids can’t show them their own.”

One of the first to react is Kingsley Aba, who wrote: “Better still, lock them up in a monastery or hide them in a cave” as Tamuno weighed in with: “When there friends call and text you tire, na you go hear wiiiii.”

Kukudash, who seemed to have faced such restrictions as a child, added: Lol…I remember how we use to give out our parents numbers to our friends back then. by the time you receive series of calls at ungodly hours, you will personally apologize to them and get them those phones.”

According to Eve, who also commented on it, “Talk is cheap” as UCY wrote: “Whatever suits her, but before her kids get to 24, they’ll have access to phones while they’re still toddlers, the internet will even be scarier than it is now.”
