Fayose Meets Babangida, Abdulsalami In Minna Ahead 2023 Elections, Says Consultations Ongoing

  • Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, has visited two former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) and General Abdulsalami Abubakar in Minna, Niger State.
  • The former Governor said he discussed the way forward for the country at length with the former Nigerian leaders and solutions on the issues affecting the nation formed the major points of the discussion.

Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, has visited two former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) and General Abdulsalami Abubakar in Minna, Niger State.

Fayose disclosed this in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday, as he shared photos of the meeting which took place separately in their houses in Minna.

The former Governor said he discussed the way forward for the country at length with the former Nigerian leaders and solutions on the issues affecting the nation formed the major points of the discussion.

Fayose added that issues discussed bordering on the country’s security, economic and political challenges were ironed out.

According to him, he would continue with his consultations to find lasting solutions to the problems of Nigeria.

The former Ekiti State Governor had also recently visited Afenifere leaders in Lagos for the same reason which might not be unconnected with the 2023 elections.

He wrote: “Today in Minna, Niger State, I met two great leaders, former Military Heads of State, General Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

We had fruitful discussions on way forward concerning the country’s security, economic and political challenges. Consultation continues…” Fayose stated.
