EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has begun a raid on the territory’s mountains.

Bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal groups terrorizing the FCT, particularly in border villages, have formed enclaves around the mountains in Abuja

On the basis of intelligence, the FCT Police storm mountains in the Kwali Area Council of the FCT and demolished abduction hideouts.

The police have removed criminal hideouts in the highlands of Yangoje and Old Chukuku in the Kwali Area Council.

Ben Igwe, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Operations, stated that the operation would continue until all criminal elements had been removed from the area.
