FEC Approves N5.72bn For NDIC Establishment
The Federal Executive Council FEC has approved N5.72bn for the establishment of National Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
The council gave the approval on Wednesday at the weekly FEC meeting presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo at Aso Rock.
The council revealed that the money was meant for the construction of offices and consultancy services for NDIC.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this at FEC meeting while briefing council on the ministry’s operations.
She stated that N3.23 billion was approved for construction of NDIC Zonal office in Bauchi State and N2.49 billion approved for consultancy services for stage three work on NDIC corporate offices in Abuja and Lagos.
