Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, reiterated that only President Muhammadu Buhari has the right to dismiss the service chiefs because he appointed them.
The President’s spokesman, which aired on Hot Seat Special, a live program on Ogun State Television, OGTV, today, made this assertion in the context of the recent clamor for the sack of security chiefs due to the growing insecurity in the country and their apparent failure to address the insoluble problem, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
“Now, because we’re referring to service chief. A commander-in-Chief is the one that has the right to appoint and the right to withdraw them.” he maintained.

Adesina also said that regardless of what people say, the president would certainly have his way.
“Others can have their say, as is the case at the moment. But the Commander-in-Chief would have his way.” he averred.
The President’s spokesman said that it is the president who can evaluate department heads and compared him to a teacher who evaluates his pupils.:
