Presidency Lists Buhari’s Achievements In Six Years Of Stewardship

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has revealed that he will return to the media profession and also become a farmer once the tenure of his elapses on May 29, 2023.

Adesina made the revelation in a Facebook post on Thursday, when he received the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (Edo State Chapter) in his office.

Only recently when a senior lawyer, Robert Clarke SAN suggested that Buhari can constitutionally extend his tenure by six months to allow him address the security challenges facing Nigeria, Adesina’s colleague, Garba Shehu stated that May 29, 2023, is sacrosanct and the President will definitely hand over to his successor on that day,

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity said in a statement, “We wish to categorically restate that the President will step down on May 29th, 2023, after serving two terms – as per the constitution.

“Having been the first recipient of a democratic transfer of power from an incumbent administration to an opposition candidate in Nigerian history, the President is committed to extending and entrenching democratic values across the country. He shall, in turn, hand the privilege of serving the people of Nigeria to whomever they choose through free, fair and credible elections.”

And in his post on Facebook today, Adesina made it clear that, “When I finish in government, by the mercies of God, I intend to return to active media work and also be a farmer. May God make it happen. Amen.

“It was then a big surprise to me when I got notification from the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (Edo State Chapter), saying they were coming to make me a patron of the group. I asked myself: ‘how did they know I was planning to go into farming? They must have seen tomorrow,’” he wrote.
